Kids Cowgirl Costume

- cute cowgirl costume?
I dont want to look slutty or like im trying to cover every inch of myself, so i decided to be a cowgirl for halloween. Im wearing my moms cowgirl hat with a white teeshirt and a jean skirt. I also have a vest that came from a kids cowgirl costume, so im wearing that over the shirt. (Im not wearing the skirt and hat that came with it) and the vest is supposed to be really loose, but its too small for me now, so its a little bit shorter and closer fitting (not tight!) and has little fringes on the two ends. But i dont have cowboy boots, so i figures id just wear flipflops. is this a good idea? what should i do with my hair? what about makeup? im 14

A i wouldn't wear flip flops, just get some cute cheap boots, if you cant find cowboy boots any type of boot would do, it will just finish the look.! You could leave your hair down or put it in Pig Tails! that would look cute!:) Just do your makeup natural not To overdone, but pretty!:) good luck!! :D

- Have your kids taken the dog trick or treating as a costume prop?
My 8 year old wants to be a devil and got the dog from hell a red shirt that reads "Devil Dog." She wants the Beagle to go as her cohort in evil. Should I tell her no because the dog is supposed to be something it's not for Halloween? Like an angel or Albert Einstein? And isn't my idea of cowgirl and cow cuter? (Backstory...if the Beagle hears you say "moo" she goes to the window to bark at a cow).

A The cowgirl and cow might be cuter but, not better. I'd let her do the devil and devil dog outfit but, put more effort into the dog than just a T-Shirt. Maybe some way to wear a smoking collar? I just got a puppy a couple of months ago and am trying to figure out how to use it. My kid wants to be a skeleton and I'm leaning toward Dr. Doofensmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. haven;t figured out how to turn the dog into a platypus.
